happy birthday daddy!

Today is my Dads birthday today!  Yay!  His one wish for his birthday was snow.  Last weekend the weather man said we would get snow...we got a little more than that!

7am time to get up for school...

I was woken up by all the thunder this morning and a little bit by some lightning.  I so did not want to go to school today, but I knew I had to.  So going through any other Tuesday morning routine, I got up, showered, put my pretty face on (makeup), got dressed, did my hair, and put a spritz of my new perfume I got for Christmas.  I was ready for school, all I needed was to eat some breakfast then meet Mom in the car.
When I finished up on my new pretty face it started to hail... A LOT!  This hail was about the size of a gumball (okay a small gumball, but still)!  We never get that kinda hail here!  It banged up against all of the windows in the house, and everyone was wide awake now!  It was so loud, I'm surprised the hail didn't break our windows (or our ears).

Then it started to peacefully snow.  As if the hail and thunder and lightning had never happened!  Just one after the other, snowflake, snowflake, snowflake.  Dad got his birthday wish!  Yay! (plus I didn't have to go to school...YAY!)  Happy Birthday Daddy!

a marvelous morning

Yes... it is a marvelous morning!  I woke up around eight today, feeling a little bit tired, but decided to wake up anyway.  I went down the stairs like any other morning, let the dogs outside... it was a marvelous morning!

There was blue sky; a few large, pure white clouds that looked like cotton candy
(ummm...cotton candy sounds really good right now!);
the dew drops lay on the fresh green grass like glitter, as if the Glitter Fairy had come earlier before me and sprinkled some glitter on the fresh green grass....
okay, do I sound poetic or what today?!?!

Honestly it was a marvelous morning!  All of the poetic things I just told you a few seconds ago...were true!  So after the dogs came back inside I was going to feed them, then I realized that it was too early for them to eat.  So I decided to play Kinect.... for an hour.... 9am

After cringing at every step I took up the stairs, I was finally up the stairs.  My body was hurting so bad; I headed for the computer in my room to blog about how bad I hurt!  I still kinda hurt (pity on me!)...

My computer was doing what I wanted it to be doing right then so I went back down stairs, picked up Lucy, walked up stairs again, through Lucy on Zack's bed (when he was still on it)  and let Lucy do the rest of the work...lick him until he wakes up!

Zack and I went down stairs, he was playing xbox and I was playing ds.  By the time we finished it was like ten!

My favorite song right now is "When Will My Life Begin"  (you might recognize it from Tangled!  my favorite movie ever)and these are the lyrics,

seven a.m. the usual morning line-up
start on the chores and sweep 'til the floor's all clean
polish and wax do laundry and mop and shine up
sweep again
and by then it's like seven fifteen

so i'll read a book or maybe two or three
i'll add a few new paintings
 to my gallery
i'll play guitar and knit and cook
and basic'ly
just wonderin' when will my life begin?

then after lunch it's puzzles and darts and baking
papier-machete a bit of ballet and chess-
pottery and ventriloquy candle making
then i'll stretch maybe sketch take a climb score a dress

then i'll read the books if i have time to spare
i'll paint the walls some more i'm sure there's room somewhere
and then i'll brush and brush and brush and brush my hair
stuck in the same place i've always been
and i'll keep wonderin' and wonderin' and wonderin' and wonderin'
when will my life begin?

tomorrow night the lights will apear
just like they do on my birthday each year
what is it like up there where they glow
now that i'm older mother might just let me go

I love that song (i'm actually listening to it for the twenty somethingth time)!  The first part of the song made me think of this marvelous morning (even though i didn't even clean 0.o)....anyway!

And here I am right now!  Blogging about this marvelous day!  It is a marvelous day!

the curse of the migraine monster

I'm not sure if it was just a headache or a migraine, but either way my head hurt so bad last night.  I never really get headaches, but when I do they usually go away pretty quickly.  Last night was different though.

If you have ever seen the Harry Potter movies or read the books, you know where Harry has that kind of connection with Voldemort because of the scar on his forehead, and when ever he has that connection with him his head is pounding and his scar feels like it's burning....I feel his pain....literally (okay not with the connection with Voldemort but with the achenes)!

My Dad actually gets migraines really bad every few months.  They usually hurt so bad to the point where he gets sick.  I'm a lot like my Dad in many ways, and this is just a wild guess but I'm pretty sure I'll be getting migraines like his....great.

Of course last night was one of those nights where we had to go to bed around nine, nine thirty.  I usually like to read before I go to bed (idky) but with this migraine (or headache, either way did not feel great) I couldn't even open my eyes with out it killing my brain (it might seem like an exaggeration...but it is so not!).  So lying in my bedroom, in the dark , waiting for the Advil to kick in was the most boring (and painful) thing to go through...ever!  Not to mention that going to sleep was the hardest thing....ever.

I think I might be getting a little bit of a headache just looking at the computer screen...plus Mom want us to come down and learn more about WW II...great more ways to put pressure on the brain...haha n_~

happy valentine's day

I was reading one of my fav. blogs, 10 cups of chai, and I just loved what Katie wrote about... LOVE !  I really liked the picture;  the kid was so adorable!

Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

When you think of love, do you think of your boyfriend, chocolates, or red roses?  Just like what Katie said in her post, love is what we should experience with God!  We have an amazing God of love!  He has shown us love in what he has done for us... the gift of God, Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, was a sign of how much he loved and loves us.  So when you think of love, you can still think of your boyfriend, or chocolates, or flowers; but most importantly think of God's love towards you!  He has and always will love you... always.  <3

just thinking about it is...wow!!!

I was just thinking what it's going to be like when I get to Heaven.  I'll be able to see every Christian on the planet that ever was and is!  I'm reminded of the song, "I Can Only Imagine"; I have the song  in allie's tunes so you can check it out.  It's a really great song!

Every once in a while our church plays the song; I used to think, "Oh yeah, someday we'll be in Heaven.  We'll be with God and everyone that is a follower of God, yeah, yeah that someday will come..................." and now when I think of it... we are going to be with God someday for eternity!  I am so excited for that day when I will be with God and surrounded by millions, billions of my Brothers and Sisters in Christ.  Every time now, when Mom is teaching history to us, and we learn about a really neat Christian, I think, "I'm going to meet that person someday!"  It is such a cool feeling!

And to think that we will be spending time, worshiping, praising, laughing, singing, dancing with God and our Brothers and Sisters in Christ for eternity... just blows my mind!  When I listened to the "I Can Only Imagine" song recently, I cried happy tears.... my heart is swelling up just thinking about it *sniff* ; D!

Can I get whoop-whoop from my Brothers and Sisters?

me plus a 965 page book equals a lot of reading

So who has seen the new Harry Potter movie?  Well, while I was at the winter youth retreat weekend four out of five of the family got to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part One.  The oldest of my younger brothers, Nick, had read the last Harry Potter book and was all like, "This is going to be the darkest movie yet!"... honestly, I don't like to watch dark movies that I haven't seen, in a dark movie theater.  Why?  Don't laugh, but I get really freaked out!  I'm a real wuss when it comes to watching scary movies.  I could handle the first six Harry Potter movies, but I was going to wait it out on the seventh movie for a while.

After coming home and hearing how good the movie was from my brothers, I couldn't take it any longer!  I decided to read the seventh Harry Potter book!  Yes.  That way I will know what to expect when I watch the movie!  Oh how clever am I : D

Nick has all of the Harry Potter books in the series, so I didn't need to wait for the book from the library forever, which was nice.  And after I had finally convinced Nick to let me borrow the book, he gave in. ("Fine, here")  Thanks Nick!

I looked to see how many pages there were in the book... 965 pages!  How on earth, did J.K. Rowling ever finish a book with 965 pages, so quickly?  I am so impressed!  Each chapter has a minimum of twenty to thirty-five pages.  There are thirty-seven chapters total, if you count the epilogue.  I'm on chapter six and I'm already on page 119!  I consider my reading speed from in between slow and medium... maybe medium.  So, me plus a 965 page book equals a lot of reading!  I'll let you know when I finish the book : D
